1.0 Introduction

This section introduces the system requirement specification document for Ardent Academy's Solve system, henceforth referred to as simply Solve. It provides the purpose and scope of the system. Terminology used throughout this document are listed in this section to maintain a consistent vocabulary throughout review of this document followed by an overview of the remaining requirements specification document.

1.1 Purpose

Traditionally, administrators and instructors at Ardent Academy drafted assignments in LaTeX or Microsoft Word, manually sent the document out to be printed, distributed to the students, graded by hand, then inputted into Excel for analytics. Ardent Academy has noticed a need to simplify the way administrators and instructors distribute, grade, and analyze student work. The design score reflects the quality of the specification file (usually named openapi.json or swagger.json). Having a high-quality specification file (with up-to-date types and examples) help developers understand the API and tools produce relevant documentation.

  • Contains comments and summaries.
  • Contains examples.
  • Does not contain duplicated objects.
